Oak Ridge Series of Prints, The series opens with the challenge, two worthy opponents vying for the attention of a willing doe. Next "the Battle" with the two bucks engaging in a ferocious fight. "The Oak Ridge Monarch" introducing a lesser buck to the scene. As a typical, this smaller buck has herd the fighting and the rattling antlers and is trying to run off with the doe while the big boys are fighting. The final release, "Oak Ridge Renewal" brings us back to the to the scene of the battle. As the beautiful new fawns move through the forest,we see that both big bucks died as a result of a fight which ended in locked antlers and the smaller buck stepped into the role as "The Monarch".

The highly successful series illustrates the creative storytelling, through study and dramatic compositions of Mike Sieve's art work. Near his home in Houston Minnesota the rural area called "Oak Ridge", Mike Sieve observed the patters and cycles of the local whitetail herd. In his "Oak Ridge Series", Sieve captures four telling scenes offering insight to the thrill of the Whitetail rut, unexpected outcomes and the cycle of life.
