The Picked Field - Canada Geese By Les Kouba

By Les C. Kouba

The Picked Field by Les Kouba This is a painting of Les Kouba's first memory of hunting Canada Geese out in Marshall Minnesota.

"This scene of Canada Geese gliding into a picked corn field was so vivid in my mind I had to paint it" - Les Kouba A Limited edition waterfowl goose art print was made but is sold out from the publisher there where signed and numbered by wildlife artist Les Kouba This 24-inch by 36 inch oil painting is of a lasting memory of mine. It illustrates my first encounter in hunting Canada geese west of Marshall, Minnesota.

I named it “The Picked Field” because a recently harvested cornfield is a common place for wild geese to seek food. I topped off the scene with a typical Kouba farmstead and a distant corn bin at the end of the field.
