Terry Redlin
art prints are a beautiful legacy from this retiring artist.
It was recently announced that
Terry Redlin is retiring from painting and signing, leaving a
legacy of beautiful wildlife art and backwoods memories. Mr.
Redlin has been one of the premier wildlife artists that made it
something that all people seemed to identify with. Few artists
can rival the standards of excellence achieved by Master Artist
Terry Redlin, over the past 23 years. In 1977, at the age of 40,
Redlin burst onto the wildlife scene when his painting "Winter
Snows" appeared on the cover of The Farmer magazine. By 1979,
demand for his work had become so great that he left his art
directing career to concentrate on painting wildlife. Redlin’s
immense popularity can also be measured by the success of his
books, "Opening WIndows to the Wild, The Art of Terry Redlin,"
released in 1987, and "Master of Memories," issued ten years
later. Redlin’s most compelling recent project was the
construction of a museum to house his original art in Watertown,
South Dakota, where he now resides. Nearly one million visitors
have toured the Redlin Art Center since it opened in June, 1997.
The artist donated the $10 million museum to the state in
appreciation for an art scholarship he received after graduating
from high school in Watertown.
With such a rich history and legacy of art, why not add Terry
Redlin prints to your collection of fine

It's more than
just a painting or a print, but an attitude about the life in
the outdoors. In this print, Backwoods Cabin, Terry Redlin says
a few things that about this print that remain the heart of this
artist.
"Somewhere is that special
hideaway that puts us in close touch with the wild. When found,
and if we are in the right mood,
the roles between man and wildlife are reversed. The experience
becomes the opposite of that offered by the nation's zoos, where
we safely observe from behind a fence of glass. In this place we
are surrounded by a grand variety of nature and
nature's wildlife. We become the imprisoned ones. We sense the
myriad faces and forms that have come to stare. But there is no
need to be alarmed. The wildlife at this backwoods cabin mean no
harm. And if we enter into their world with respect we will be
allowed to share in its splendor. On this fresh morning, stroll
down the steps from the hillside cabin. Sit by the lake, quiet
and watchful. There, see? One of nature's wonders, a trio of
wood ducks, glide to a landing just across the inlet."
