Boardwalk Promanade by Paul Landry

A boardwalk was literally that - a waterside walkway made of boards or planks. It was the place for a Sunday or any-day stroll. There were children, parents and grandparents who enjoyed the promenade in their own ways. Even the babies enjoyed the bright sunshine and the cool ocean breeze.

Some people would stop and chat. Some would savor their favorite flavor of salt water taffy. There were always observers of the sea, as well as couples in rolling chairs, who were pushed along by energetic young men while they held hands and shared special thoughts - almost oblivious to the friendly smiles of the people they passed.

If you were there, you might even have heard the music of a distant band concert as you strolled along in the sun, just happy to be alive.
