Under the glow of a brilliant full moon a whitetail deer buck accompanies his does from the shelter of the winter woods for a nighttime drink from a flowing stream. The does go on high alert. Is it the train passing the farms in the distance or has something else disturbed them? It could be some scent left behind from the hunter whose deer stand hides in the trees behind the buck. In this painting we have a couple of other animals hiding. A red Fox, Rabbit, Owl, Raccoon, and another larger Whitetail Buck are some of the animals that I have found hidden in this beautiful painting.
