"In Ranthambore, India, there are many magical places such as Padam Talco, but my favorite is Rajbagh. The shallow waters of this lake have an atmosphere all their own. I have seen many tigers here, hunting chital (Indian deer). The ancient ruins, many shrouded in foliage, line the banks as a nostalgic backdrop."

"These relics of the past provide sanctuary for the tiger and a perfect place from which to scout for prey before making the attack. In my painting, I am showing the power of the tiger as it lunges from the cover of the bank to chase some unsuspecting prey in the low light of an Indian evening." ~ John Seerey-Lester
