Portrait of a Sioux by James Bama

"Frank Sotonoma Salsedo, a Klamath Indian, is a journalist and a movie actor. The location is a Crow Indian reservation and Frank was asked to ride in their annual parade. While he was filming a movie with Raquel Welch, portraying an aging Sioux warrior named Many Scalps, I asked if I could photograph him for as a model for a painting. He was most obliging." ~ James Bama
