"In 1999 I did a sculpture of a running whitetail deer, held in mid air by a cast antler. It was called "Deer Country" and was widely accepted by the public. At the time I had planned on doing more sculptures, perhaps one per year. But, I am primarily a painter, not a sculptor and found myself unable to keep that promise. Now five years later, I have finally produced another sculpture. I am proud to present "Leaving a Message"." ~ Mike Sieve
