"Inspired by the antics of the gray squirrel, I painted this scene at the bottom of a garden. Overnight winds probably brought down this well stocked bird feeder, and as the sun rises the opportunist squirrels rapidly descend the tree to investigate. Having scampered down head first, one squirrel cautiously freezes, alert to possible danger, before moving in to collect the spilled millet, oats and sunflower seeds - a scene which I'm sure has been witnessed many times." ~ John Seerey-Lester.
