Forgotten Forty - Pheasants By Jim Hautman

Forgotten Forty - Pheasants by Jim Hautman

This is the 2010 2011 Pheasants Forevers print of the year. Long ago, the hum of a tractor could be heard every spring and fall as it worked the land. Planting and harvesting crops with annual diligence, men and women toiled rain or shine to provide for their families. Years later, this long forgotten parcel sits undisturbed while its new inhabitants revel in all its glory — this “Forgotten Forty” has become a pheasant’s paradise. Today, one is truly lucky to come upon a “Forgotten Forty.” Jim Hautman’s “Forgotten Forty Pheasants” aptly represents Pheasants Forever’s firmly planted stance as “The Habitat Organization.”

Since 1982, Pheasants Forever has strives to create, protect and enhance wildlife habitat so that years from now, people will still be able to enjoy the splendor of America’s wild places. This painting is a sequel to Jim Hautman's painting Back Forty Pheasants which was also a Pheasants Forever print of the year. He painted the same old classic Wind Mill's and tractors in old barn's in art prints and paintings for sale.
