"Les was commissioned by the Johnson Reel Company of Mankato, Minnesota, to create a striking wildlife art painting that would make a perfect premium type print. "The scene takes place right before a big storm hits when fishing is at its peak. I made a point in the lake. Off this point is a bar and what do you find? Walleyes. The boats are all clustered around that bar. They're so close, they damn near throw the bait in the next guy's boat. When you set off from shore you start trolling and you head to where all those other boats are. Trolling to the bar - it's that simple." ~ Les Kouba
