Quail Country - Bobwhites By Les Kouba

Quail Country - Bobwhites by Les Kouba

This painting was done near San Antonio, Texas, where we often would go hunting and visit friends. I met Michaux Nash through Dean Leeper who owns the original “Noonin’ Up.” Michaux wanted a quail painting, too. I had all of this great quail research material-the muddy road where we got stuck with the station wagon. I added some little goodies-the windmill, the salt licks, and the feeding racks. I painted it just like it was and called it “Quail Country.” Michaux loved it and so do the 1,000 other customers that bought the limited edition print." ~ Les Kouba
