Cascade Skyline - Bald Eagles By Rod Frederick

By Rod Frederick

Cascade Skyline Bald Eagles painted by wildlife artist Rod Frederick

"This painting is one of a few that I have done showing the view seen from inside my house. I have lived here for ten years, and every night, the sunset is different. Storms from the Pacific drop snow on these mountains, which are part of a group of mountains known as The Three Sisters in central Oregon. As the sun sets behind them, the play of light is incredible, although brief, lasting only about 30 seconds. One day, my daughter spotted a bald eagle that had landed just 50 feet away from the house. Each time we see an eagle, it is always a thrill. Together, we watched it until it flew off. But before it left, it gave me the idea for this painting, for which I am grateful to my daughter." ~ Rod Frederick
