In 1999, Scot gave up a career as an architect to devote himself to his art. Although he has received broad recognition and many awards as a painter, he took particular pride in winning the millennium Pheasant Stamp contest for the state of Minnesota.
As he strives to expand his portfolio, Scot has worked closely with Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, the Danbury Mint art collection and Apple Creek Publishing. Through his many exhibits and displays throughout the Midwest, he has earned a reputation as a knowledgeable, skilled, creative force in the field of wildlife art.
Scot resides in Sartell, Minnesota with his wife, Kristin and two children, Summer and Logan, where he continues to paint, exhibit and carry on the field studies so vital to the intricate detail and accuracy of his acclaimed work.
