Studying the works of classic artists like Rembrandt, Renoir and Monet, he became amazed by their attention to detail, panoramic scenery and use of colors.
Artist Kevin Daniel's initial concentration in wildlife art depicted realism and nature's beauty with the subjects in his portraits.
"With my love and passion for nature, I wanted focus on the realism of wildlife art, bringing to life the subtleties of the outdoors from a natural, but unique position." says Daniel.
Due to popular demand and confident in his artistic talents, he concentrated his work on waterfowl, earning him national awards as well as a two-time Minnesota State Duck Stamp winner.
Kevin continues to be challenged by the variety and complexities of wildlife he finds fascinating to capture with the paintbrush as well as the camera.
Over the past several years, Kevin has returned to romantic realism, creatively embraced by the master artists themselves.
His paintings portray the intimate and impressionistic scenes of nostalgic family life or the innocence and curiosity of children. Many of his works combine his subjects and wildlife, capturing a playful rapport with each other.
"Growing up in Minnesota, not only did I want to embrace wildlife and nature in my paintings, but share and reflect back on memories with family and friends.
From fishing and camping to music lessons, each had an influential moment on how I create my artwork."
Embraced by collectors and galleries alike, his versatility as an artist has gained him national acclaim and recognition by peers as truly one of America's great artists. less
